Ever wonder how to make math activities for preschoolers more fun?
If you ask me, I suggest incorporating themes, adorable bright images, and lots of hands-on activities into your lessons.
Umm… Hands-on?
I don’t mean messy play or glittery activities. But tons of cut-and-paste activities count, right?
For the coming St Patrick’s Day, I have several math activities for preschoolers packed & done-for-you in the St Patrick’s Day math bundle.
It has lots of differentiated activities; you can use it for your kids who:
- Still struggling to count to 5, and
- Who have already graduated the counting to 5, but need more practice counting to 10
I created this pack with 4+ years old in mind, meaning the packet is full of colors and engaging.
But first…
The math skills.
Let’s take a look at some math skills activities included.
Number Recognition Activities
These activities are meant to help your little learners with number recognition. It helps in the long run when they can instantly recognize what number 1 looks like, or how number 5 looks like.
Counting 10-Frames
Have you ever encountered your kids getting scrambled up when they practice counting? Such as 1, 2 and suddenly 5.
I find counting using 10-frames is helpful to help little learners see clearly the quantity of the objects they’re counting and yet to count.
