3 Fun Pumpkin Beginning Sounds Cut and Paste Activities
Looking for Pumpkin Beginning Sounds cut and paste activity?
The ability to recognize beginning sounds is a skill that needs a lot of practice for kids to really master. One of the best activities for beginning sounds is cut-and-paste, as it is a hands-on approach.
For pumpkin-themed week, I’ve got Pumpkin Beginning Sounds cut and paste ready for you.

Your kids will get busy cutting and pasting, and while at this, their light bulb will light up at the sight of the letters.
Let’s take a look at the activities included.
Activity #1: Solve the Pumpkin Puzzles
In these pumpkin puzzles, your kids will cut the mixed-up beginning sounds puzzles. Take a look at the picture below.

Everything is jumbled.
For example, in the picture above, the donut is paired with the letter “a” (it should be paired with the letter “d”). Have your kids cut the puzzles and pair them accordingly – pair the donut picture with the letter d, the butterfly picture with the letter b.
Don’t worry, you’ll get answer keys for reference.

These pumpkin puzzles are available in uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and UPPERCASE-lowercase letter pairs.

Activity #2: Pumpkin Patch Sorting
In this part, you will get pumpkins with pictures and a pumpkin patch with a signpost.

First, cut all the pumpkins with beginning sounds pictures. You can pre-cut or have your kids cut them all – the pictures are not arranged in alphabetical order.

Next, sort the pumpkins to the corresponding pumpkin patch.
You’ll get 26 pumpkin patches, each has its own letter signpost. Example below, the pumpkin patch has the letter Aa on its signpost. So you have to paste pumpkins with beginning sounds letter A onto this pumpkin patch.

You don’t have to paste all the pictures. If your kids are just starting, pasting one picture would be good enough.
You will get 26 pumpkin patches – from letter Aa all the way to letter Zz

Activity #3: Pumpkin Core Sorting
Similar to the pumpkin patch beginning sounds sorting, in this part, you’ll get to sort the pumpkin seeds to the corresponding pumpkin core.

In the sorting page below, you have two pumpkin cores; one has a label A for the beginning sounds letter A, and one has a label B for the beginning sounds letter B.

Cut and sort the pumpkin seeds with pictures to their corresponding letters.
These pumpkin cores are available for uppercase letters and lowercase letters.
