Activity #1: Cut and Paste the Pictures
Little kids learn easily with things that are relatable to their daily life.
For example, in this activity, your preschool kids are learning things that have the beginning sounds Letter M.
To do this activity, have your kids cut all the pictures in the Letter M cut and paste worksheets.
Then paste the pictures inside the big letter M.
The way I introduced it is, for example, “Look at this (pointing at moon picture). This is a moon, /m/ /m/ /m/. Moon begins with the letter M.”
“Let’s cut the moon and paste it into the letter M”
Or show all the pictures to your little ones and say the name of the picture one by one.
When you repeatedly say ‘Milk’, ‘Magnet’ or ‘Map’; your little readers will get to hear the sound of the letter M.
Activity #2: Cut and Paste the Letter M
Letters can look very different either on cereal boxes, or in different storybooks.
Have your kids cut all the letters M, then paste the letters into the big letter M.
This activity will help your little ones recognize the many faces of the letter ‘M’.
