Fun January Lesson Plan Ideas for Toddler and Preschool with 3 Main Activities
Entering the second week of the 2024 year, I’m feeling a bit relaxed as everything is almost sorted out.
If you’re looking for January lesson plan ideas for toddler and preschool, check out my lesson plan below.
We’ll be doing the Arctic Animals theme.
We love routine.
This means the kids know what activity to expect for the day.
Every day would include activities for:
- ABC letters
- Fine motor activities
- Numbers and counting
#1: Letter Activities for January Lesson Plan
I put up four letter craft activities *pat on my back* Which hopefully I can continue for the weeks to come đŸ˜‚ *wish me luck*
This week, we will be doing P for polar bears and P for penguin, M for moose and N for narwhal.
Just print the printables and assemble the Arctic animals while discussing them with your kids.

#2: Fine Motor Skills
I’ve also included some Arctic Animals printable activity suggestions, such as cutting, pasting, and sorting activities. The activities come from this cute Arctic Animals packet and others.
If your kids don’t like cutting and pasting, I’ve got you dot activity pages. You can color in the dots or dot using the dot markers or dot stickers.
#3: Numbers and Counting
Finally, counting activity.
I’ve got you some number puzzles and counting to 10 printables, all with an Arctic Animals theme.
Let’s recap our daily activities for the week.
It’s simple, plain and no rush.
Let your kids take their time and immerse themselves in the theme.
